  • The Vivo Watch is now official.

  • It joins the Oppo Watch and Realme Watch in the BBK wearable catalog.

  • The Vivo Watch is priced under $200 in China.

Vivo has just announced its take on the circular smartphone with the Vivo Watch.

Before you ask, yes, the company did make more of an effort on the device’s hardware than on its name. Yes, it’s another wearable from a BBK brand. But no, it doesn’t look anything like the Oppo or Realme watches. The Vivo Watch is arguably the better looking of the two.

The 46mm version boasts a chunky circular stainless steel body with an etched ceramic bezel. Two buttons on its flank join an AMOLED display and leather or rubber straps. It’s quite a looker. For those with smaller wrists, a 42mm option is also available that looks a little more like Samsung’s Galaxy Watch 3.

As a productivity tool, the Vivo Watch lets users schedule reminders, view upcoming tasks, and see your current notifications on your phone. Notably, the watch can also be used as a remote control to snap images on your device too, but we’re not sure if this only works with Vivo smartphones. Onboard support for Vivo’s Jovi voice assistant, onboard music playback, and contactless payment support also make the cut.

Productivity smarts are only one portion of the smartwatch experience, so Vivo also loaded the Watch with sensors to track heart rates and blood oxygen levels. Users can also track sleep and stress levels, and other activity metrics like daily steps, floors climbed, and calories burned.

Finally, Vivo suggests this device could be quite a road warrior, enduring up to 18 days between charges. Water resistance of up to 5ATM is a feature that will appeal to swimmers, too.

As for price, the Vivo Watch will retail for 1,299 yuan (~$191) in both 46mm and 42mm guises. That places it right between the ~$300 Oppo Watch and ~$50 Realme Watch, albeit it’s a little pricier than the initial 1,000 yuan (~$147) rumor suggested.
