After several leaks, Oppo unveiled its latest entry-level device for the Indonesian market with the brand new A12. The device boasts a waterdrop notch display, Helio P35 SoC and dual cameras around the back. It also comes with a 4,230 mAh battery and capacitive fingerprint scanner all wrapped in a textured polycarbonate body.
The Oppo A12 packs a 6.22-inch LCD panel with HD+ (720 x 1520 pixels) resolution and a waterdrop notch cutout for the 5MP selfie camera. The panel also features a 19:9 aspect ratio and Gorilla Glass 3 protection.
Going around the back we find a dual-camera setup with a 13MP primary shooter alongside a 2MP depth helper. The two-camera sensors are flanked by the LED flash while the capacitive fingerprint reader sits below.
Under the hood, we have the Helio P35 chipset with 3/4GB RAM and 32/64GB storage which is expandable via the microSD slot. The phone also packs a 4,230 mAh battery, which charges over a microUSB connector. On the software front, we have ColorOS 6.1.2 based on Android 9 Pie.
The Oppo A12 comes in blue and black colors with a retail of IDR 2,499,000 ($160/INR 12,365) for the 4/64GB model. There’s still no word on international availability.
