It looks like OnePlus might not be launching true wireless earbuds after all, as tipster Ishan Agarwal clarified in a new tweet.
Update, April 2020 (6:47AM ET): It looks like OnePlus might not be launching true wireless earbuds after all, as tipster Ishan Agarwal clarified in a new tweet.
Guys sorry, we mixed up. The article is being Updated. #OnePlus Bullets Wireless Z may not be truly wireless earphones but a product with this name is definitely launching… We will have to see what it ends up being like, but I’m expecting affordable, good wireless earphones. https://t.co/O2hsG2zOUp

Nevertheless, Agarwal claims that the new audio accessory will still have the OnePlus Bullets Wireless Z name. But those expecting a major design departure from previous generations might be a little disappointed.
Original article, April 1 2020 (4:15AM ET): OnePlus launched its Bullets Wireless earphones alongside the OnePlus 6 in 2018, offering a neckband design and quick charging technology. The firm followed up with the Bullets Wireless 2 last year, featuring a very similar design.
Now, noted leaker Ishan Agarwal and 91mobiles report that OnePlus is launching OnePlus Bullets Wireless Z earbuds. It’s believed that the new product takes the true wireless route, ditching the cable and neckband between the two earphones.
Agarwal adds that the OnePlus Bullets Wireless Z is coming “very soon,” although there’s no word on an exact date. So we’d expect it to show up on or before the OnePlus 8 series launch on April 14.
