Xiaomi is all set to launch a new Mi 10 series phone this month. Unlike the Mi 10Mi 10 Pro, or Mi 10 Ultra that can easily be called premium flagships, this new Mi 10 model will be priced under £300 (~$400).

  • Xiaomi will launch a more affordable Mi 10 series phone this month.

  • It might be the rumored Mi 10T Lite.

If that’s not an exciting enough prospect, the device is also going to be the first with an “upcoming brand-new” Snapdragon 7-series 5G platform. Xiaomi has already launched phones with the Snapdragon 765G and Snapdragon 768G, so it’s possible we’re looking at something different altogether

The news from Xiaomi comes on the heels of recent Mi 10T series leaks. The new lineup is expected to feature three devices: Mi 10T, Mi 10T Pro, and the Mi 10T Lite.

We’re guessing the phone Xiaomi is teasing is the cheapest of the lot, aka the Mi 10T Lite. Rumors suggest that the Pro model packs a 144Hz display, a 108MP triple camera setup, and the Snapdragon 865 chip. All that hardware doesn’t sound like it’ll feature in a phone that costs somewhere between £200 – £300 (~$269 – $400). Tipster Ishan Agarwal also claims that the Mi 10T Pro will be priced somewhere around Rs 35,000 (~$479) when it launches in India. That’s a great price point, but more expensive than what Xiaomi is currently teasing.

It looks like Xiaomi is once again doing what it did when it launched the Mi 10 series in Europe. The Mi 10 Lite 5G launched alongside the vanilla Mi 10 and the Mi 10 Pro, bearing a less powerful chipset and a cheaper price tag. The Mi 10T will take that affordability up a notch and we’re all for it.
