Microsoft seems to be working on a new logo for its Bing search engine. The search engine’s new logo seems to be part of the larger Fluent Design rebrand within Microsoft.
As you may remember, Microsoft started introducing Fluent Design-inspired icons for its Office suite back in 2018, with the company later announcing its plans to redesign over 100 icons in 2019. Most recently, the company started introducing new Windows 10 icons inspired by the same style.
The new Bing logo is essentially what you would expect: a much more modern logo, with a Fluent Design influence. The logo no longer has sharp corners, and it has some depth that makes it stand out, too. The new logo isn’t significantly different from the existing Bing logo, and that’s a good thing.
Here’s how it looks like in the search results pages:
Microsoft is yet to officially announce the new Bing logo, but we believe this is the first time we are getting a look at the new Bing logo. The company seems to be A/B testing the new logo with a small portion of users, and our tipster spotted the new logo with Bing’s region set to US (English).
A Microsoft spokesperson said the company has nothing to share regarding the new Bing logo at the moment.2
