Microsoft Teams is increasing meeting chat size from 300 to 1000 participants

Microsoft Teams right now has limits on no.of people who can participate in meeting chats. The maximum limit of people in a meeting who can chat and call in is 300. Microsoft today confirmed that they will allow 1000 participants to participate in the meeting chat from November this year.

To support customers through the current COVID situation, through January 1, 2021, Microsoft has temporarily increased limit for Live Events hosted in Teams, Stream, and Yammer, including:

• Up to 20,000 attendees per event
• Up to 50 simultaneous events per Teams tenant
• Up to 16 hours per broadcast
